Local Connection

Community is about connection and sharing the joy and victories of life. It’s about meeting someone for lunch, taking a walk around a lake together, or being part of a local club. It’s also about lending each other a hand when times are tough.

Axis Community Care isn’t just about serving community. We’re part of your community. As a group of hundreds living in the North Lakes area who share the common vision of a growing and more resilient local community, we’re committed to doing our part to help.

It’s our pleasure to offer avenues for you to get to know people who share your interests and struggles and ways you can make a difference in the lives of others. Personal and family support are also major parts of who we are.

It doesn’t take a genius to see the impact of issues like overcrowded schools, businesses downsizing and widespread disasters like COVID-19 to our comfort and security. We’re all affected in some way, collectively and often personally.  Axis Community Care is motivated by this need, contributing directly to the disadvantaged and partnering with other local organisations through programs like, “Food for Kids” and “The Lakes Pantry” and our school staff support initiatives.

Axis Community Care operates from a permanent North Lakes facility, offering regular emotional and practical support, emerging upskilling opportunities, and referral to other services where requested, for people of all ages. Whether you’re a mother looking for a play group, an individual feeling isolated, a victim of unemployment or a family looking for connection, we’re here for you. We are a non-profit, self-funded cooperative, so the only hand we’ll be extending to you is a helping one.
