Community is about connection — sharing life’s joys and victories, meeting a friend for lunch, walking around the lake, joining a local club, and lending a hand when times are tough.

Axis Community Connect goes beyond service. We’re hundreds of local volunteers united by a vision of a stronger, more resilient community. We create opportunities to meet people who share your interests and struggles, offer practical and emotional support for families, and provide ways you can make a difference in others’ lives.

Based in North Lakes, we offer ongoing care, skills-building opportunities and referrals to additional services for people of all ages.

Whether you’re a parent looking for a playgroup, someone feeling isolated, navigating unemployment, or a family seeking connection, we’re here for you.

As a self-funded, non-profit cooperative, the only hand we extend is a helping one.

Locally

  • Christmas Day Cook Up

    Supporting those in need at Christmastime with a meal on Christmas Day. A simple but meaningful way we can serve others and share practical care during the festive season and reach out to people in our local community doing it tough.

  • Good Friday Festival

    An opportunity to celebrate Easter with our community; bringing the local area together for a fun-filled day for all ages.

  • Chaplaincy

    Chaplains provide social, emotional and pastoral support for students, families and school staff. We are proud to support to chaplains in:

    • Redcliffe State School

    • Kippa Ring Primary School

    • Bounty Boulevard State School

    • Burpengary State School

    • Burpengary State College

    • North Lakes College.

  • Christmas in the Neighbourhood

    As part of our community outreach, Christmas in the Neighbourhood is designed to celebrate the festive season and create a fun, welcoming space for families, friends, and our wider neighbourhood.

  • Food for Kids

    Food for Kids provides breakfasts and/or lunches to struggling children and families in ten local state schools in the City of Moreton Bay.
