Rev. Jonathon Schroder

LEAD PASTOR

Jonathon (Jono) has been in pastoral ministry since 2011, having completed a Bachelor of Theology with Sydney College of Divinity. He previously served for eight years as the Senior Pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Echuca-Moama in Victoria, before coming to North Lakes at the beginning of 2020 to take up a call as Lead Pastor of Axis. In 2025, he was ordained as a minister in the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia.

Jono holds the Scriptures as the supreme authority for life and practice. He has a practical style of preaching that enables people to apply Biblical truths to their everyday lives, with a ministry calling that is strongly discipleship-driven. Jono has a passion to see people understand the good news of Jesus, experience transformation by grace and then be activated to pursue their God-calling.

Jono is married to Yvonne, who hails from California, USA. They met working together on a mission outreach team, during the time that Yvonne was serving with Operation Mobilisation. Jono enjoys the full support of Yvonne in his ministry calling, and is also blessed with three beautiful daughters, Hannah, Abigail, and Anabelle. They are unified together in seeing God’s work progress.
