Axis Community Connect isn’t just about serving the community, we’re part of your community. As a group of hundreds of local volunteers who share the common vision of a growing and more resilient community, we’re committed to doing our part to help.
We are here to offer avenues for you to get to know people who share your interests and struggles and ways you can make a difference in the lives of others.
We are here to provide support to you and your family when times are tough.
We see the impact of issues like overcrowded schools, businesses downsizing and widespread disasters like COVID-19 have on our comfort and security. We’re all affected in some way, collectively and often personally.
Axis Community Connect is motivated by this need, contributing directly to the disadvantaged and partnering with other local organisations through programs like, “Food for Kids” and “The Lakes Pantry” and our school staff support initiatives.
Axis Community Connect operates from a permanent North Lakes facility, offering regular emotional and practical support, emerging upskilling opportunities, and referral to other services where requested, for people of all ages.
Whether you’re a mother looking for a playgroup, an individual feeling isolated, a victim of unemployment or a family looking for connection, we’re here for you. We are a non-profit, self-funded cooperative, so the only hand we’ll be extending to you is a helping one.
